NEWS
Hello Sprouts,

This is a shorter transparency devlog, as we’re still catching up from the April delay due to illness. As promised, we completed the Beania Settlements by the end of April, and we’re actively working on the remaining projects. This update mainly addresses a few ongoing community concerns and provides minor updates.

Event
Coming on the 18th!

Beania Settlements - Live
Beania Settlements and Map Updates are live here:

https://www.kingdomsofgriffia.com/lore/world/geography

Now that all the major settlements are complete, we’ve updated the Griffia map with more accurate colors and reorganized the Geography page. It is now split into Beania, Capria, and Fluffia, with sections for Selinia and Nova to be added later.

Submitting Group Feedback - Transparency
We wanted to share a quick note on how feedback is most helpful to the team. The programmer has asked us to encourage individual submissions rather than group feedback coming through a single person. While it’s completely natural to lean on someone who feels more comfortable expressing ideas, this can make it harder for us to understand which features are most broadly supported.

Hearing from multiple voices, even if it’s just a few words from each person, gives us a clearer picture of what the community values. Different perspectives and communication styles help us make more informed decisions, and even short, individual comments can be more valuable than a well-crafted group summary.

We’ve already seen great examples of this shift leading to more helpful, diverse insights. To continue improving things together, we’ll kindly ask that future feedback be shared directly by each user when possible. This will support better prioritization for the team and ensure everyone's voice is heard.

Thanks so much for your help and continued input!

Community Adoptables - Transparency
We know there’s been some confusion lately about adoptables, especially with revisiting the Open Species rules due to confusion and what people can and cannot do with them.

We heard that some of this uncertainty has transferred to Love Items (and Love Petals), making some users unsure if they should feel guilty about using Love Items to make adoptables.

We want to clarify that users can use Love Items (and Love Petals) to create adoptables, and we encourage it.

Love Raffle - Transparency + Future Change
We've looked into recent feedback about the Love Raffle RNG being unbalanced. We collected all current winners and checked the code; there is no flaw in the code or the RNG calculation. There have been ~700 winners in total and ~550 winners since it was changed to 5% of entries. It's been around 70 weeks since the change to 5% of entries, so you'd expect someone who has entered every week to have won 3.5 times (or roughly 7 times if they owned both characters in a pair). This is what tracks with our results.

We wanted to inform you that there will be a small change to how Love Vouchers are awarded when a user owns both characters in a soulbond. In the future, individual users will only be able to win once per raffle.

Users who own both characters in a soulbond will still have two entries, which gives them a slightly higher chance than those who share a soulbond with another user. We're keeping it this way because the Love Raffle is currently the only space where the soulbond bonus really benefits users who bond their own characters, since they don’t get the added advantage of others creating art for them.

We appreciate your feedback and understanding as we continue fine-tuning the system to keep things fair and fun for everyone!

Weekly Prompts - Transparency
To ensure that no one misses out on their submissions, we will start declining entries if the necessary boxes for rewards are not checked. However, we cannot do this if users wait till the last day to submit. If users submit on the last day, we will approve the submission regardless of whether they checked boxes for rewards, so users don't miss out completely.

So, submitting your artwork early rather than waiting until the deadline is essential. Please remember to check all required boxes to ensure a smooth submission process. We cannot accept late approvals or fix errors once the deadline has passed.

Tickets - Are now transferable between user and character inventories.

Rules - If a user submits Trials for two characters in the same artwork, both characters must be submitted for the same Trial type. For example, if the artwork includes both a Griffolk and a Companion, they must both be submitted for Fishing or both for Farming, not one for each. Submitting the same image for different Trial types is not allowed.

Lore - Updated Geography pages and split the continents into their own pages
Removal
Tokens - The rule "You can not use the same image for multiple Tokens for multiple Griffians" was removed because it was not being enforced.
Tokens - The rule "If multiple characters are in the same picture, only one can claim Tokens, even if they are Soulbonded or Tamed" was removed because it was not being enforced.
